Argentina travel to face World Group newcomers Poland in the opening round.
Last tie 18-20 September 2015
Argentina were cruelly edged out by Belgium in their World Group semifinal, as Steve Darcis defeated Federico Delbonis in the fifth and deciding rubber. The opening day was split, with wins for David Goffin and Leonardo Mayer, before Carlos Berlocq and Mayer forged the visitors ahead after claiming the doubles. But Goffin and Darcis took the reverse singles to put Belgium in the Final for the first time since 1904 and leave Argentina reeling after the semifinals once again.
Argentina finished runners-up in 1981, 2006, 2008 and 2011, but are yet to lift the trophy. Only Argentina, Romania and India have contested more than one Final without being crowned champion, but Argentina are the only of these nations to have lost four times.
